For LSM Technologies, we built an easy-to-use administration area to manage three complete sub-sites, one for each product. The owner is able to modify all site text, colours and images through the administration interface. The purpose of the three sites was to provide a large database of product information to customers. The existing format of the information was mainly PDF files.
The owner of the company, Peter Woodford, now says it is faster to find product information on his website than on his internal network. The site also incorporates product demonstration videos in MPG and Flash format. In addition, when prospective clients complete the contact or enquiry forms, information is automatically sent to an internal Goldmine system for synchronisation. The administration area includes facilities to dynamically build up to three levels of drop down menus, as well as rich text editing and image placement from a central image library.

The administration system automatically reads the content of uploaded PDF files and indexes them for quick searching. After locating a PDF file, customers or staff can choose to email the PDF file to other contacts.
